We also have options for setting privacy. We'll work with an API later in the course, and we'll construct sort of a simple kind of database for the grocery store app. The data tab is all about data that might be displaying on the webpage, and we're going to work with two types of data in this course.

I use the term loosely because, of course, we don't write code, but we are going to be working with a series of instructions. This is where you program those kinds of things. When the pay page loads what is going to happen next? When a button is clicked, what happens next? When an icon is hovered over, what happens next? There may be all kinds of different events that trigger a series of things to happen. Workflow is not much to see at this moment, but this is where we would go to indicate what happens when something is clicked, for example. So basically the design tab is all about the user interface or UI. And then down here at the bottom we also have some templates for tabs or for a signup or a login form if you wanted to build your own. You can also make your own reusable elements. And then down here towards the bottom we have a built-in footer, a built-in header, and a sign up/login popup, which is preconfigured for you. Things like inputs and check boxes and radio buttons and so forth. We have all of the various form controls that you may be familiar with mostly from the HTML world.

If you're a code person, these are mostly divs They refer to a basic container like a group or a repeating group where we're going to pull information from a database or an API and repeat it over and over. We have access to containers that would include various types of groupings on the page. These are things that we might want to include inside of our webpage. Things like text and buttons and maps and so forth, all here in a line. Under this, you'll see that we have certain visual elements that are available to us. So that tab may or may not be there when you watch this. So if you are watching this video and this tab has disappeared then the responsive layouts have left the beta and are now part of the main Bubble interface. And responsive refers to the response of layout engine which is brand new in Bubble as of this recording and we're going to talk about this in some more detail. One is called the UI builder, the other is responsive. That's these crossed pencils up here at the top and you'll notice that we have two items that start with here.
So over here on the side, we'll start with the design view. And I'll introduce of these other elements as we continue to work through Bubble. So let's just introduce you to mostly what's going on in the left side of the page here. There is a lot of nooks and crannies going on inside of Bubble and we'll explore a lot of those in detail. Before we get started with our building process in Bubble, I wanted to walk you through the interface that is here because it is significant.
