> Yet another fire red hack (yes that's what it's called) changes the dex around and adds a lot more difficulty to vanilla fire red while making the mons inside a lot more unique to play around with. (I actually have 3 other emerald hacks that all do something similar, which are theta emerald, omega emerald, and elegant emerald) > Eccentric emerald is a hack that also adds some later gen pokemon into emerald, though I haven't played it in a while so I can't vouch for their quality. > Speaking of which, kanto black is a FR hack that replaces the canon 151 kanto pokemon with gen V-VI pokemon.
> FRAdvanced being a similar hack for fire red. > Altered emerald is one I'm currently running through which gives emerald a gen VII feel by changing a lot of pokemon around to be more unique. > Chrono's extended dex hacks are pretty good if you want small but noticeable hacks to run through. Dunno if any of these fit ALL of your criteria, so I'll just go down the hacks in my folders that I'd recommend to other people:Ĭanon but X: gonna skip drayano and snoop since you already mentioned them (dunno who the latter is though). Okay I'll split this into "canon but X" and "different games". PS: yes, I already played Drayano and Snoop's hacks. At least HM rebalancing, if possible.īased on that, what would be the best hack or fan game you can recommend me? Thanks in advance. robably hard to come by, but it's good so you don't have to waste move slots on pointless moves.
Proper level curve and difficulty, enemy trainers with decent teams and such Actual item variety! None of these games where things like choice items and life orb are basically locked into the post-game, letting players get and use them early on is a good thing, even things like stat-increasing berries(salac, liechi, etc) and power herb/white herb/etc are good additions for the sake of variety and strategy All pokemon, moves, items, abilities and mechanics from later generations(in case of gen 3 hacks) Also with the intent of removing the extreme redundancy of plenty of pokemon in the span of the generations. No "shitmons" that are worthless, things like base stat changes, extra moves, retypings or extra good abilities for weaker pokemon. Things I'd consider important for such hack, in order of priority:
